The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling all aspects of workers’ compensation cases, from initial consultations to final resolution. This role requires exceptional legal expertise, client interaction skills, and managing multiple cases efficiently.Duties and Responsibilities:Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation cases from start to finish.Gather and analyze medical records and other evidence pertinent to the case.Conduct depositions of clients, witnesses, and medical professionals.Engage in discovery processes, including interrogatories and document requests.Represent clients in hearings and trials, as well as during settlement negotiations.Prepare and file all necessary legal documents and pleadings.Provide clients with regular updates and strategic advice regarding their cases.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management.Maintain meticulous records of case details and communications.Stay updated with changes in workers’ compensation laws and regulations.Requirements:A minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing in workers’ compensation law.Demonstrated experience in managing the entire lifecycle of workers’ compensation cases.Licensed to practice law in Mississippi, having passed the Bar exam on the first attempt.In good standing with the Mississippi State Bar.Graduated in the top third of their class from an accredited law school.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in the state of Mississippi.Skills:Exceptional legal research and writing skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent computer skills, including legal research databases and case management software proficiency.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Superior client interaction skills with the ability to empathize and provide professional legal advice.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Job Location:Gulfport, MSCompensation:Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
