For more information, please visit: https://www.bbbspgh.org/ The Opportunity BBBS PGH is searching for its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) . The CEO passionately leads the agency, ensuring effective management, strategic operations across all departments, and alignment with the mission of being a community pillar as a mentoring agency. Reporting to the Board, the CEO makes critical business decisions and oversees both financial and programmatic health. As the agency's outward-facing community representative, the CEO engages community leaders, philanthropic and corporate partners, and media to further the brand and serve underserved communities. Leveraging the credible BBBS brand, the CEO plays a key role in securing major gifts, fundraising, and development for BBBS PGH. Essential Responsibilities Manage Senior Staff’s oversight of daily operations of the organization, providing executive direction for program strategies and efficiencies, compliance, and quality assurance. Ensure child safety by establishing and maintaining internal safeguards and stern program policies; ensure that agency staff know and practice these policies; invest in adequate agency resources in screening and training for volunteers and staff. Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external events to increase visibility, credibility, and market brand, and develop strategic partnerships to further increase community awareness, expand programs and garner funds for the agency. Advise the COO in managing the organization’s budget, financial planning, reporting, and metrics to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability of BBBS PGH. Work closely with the Board of Directors and appropriate committees to provide regular updates and assess and address issues affecting BBBS PGH and the community it serves; serve as “Member Ex Officio.” Engage in Board recruitment, orientation, and training and support Board members to find their niche within the agency structure. Identify new opportunities for growth, partnerships, and program development to magnify the continued impact of BBBS PGH within the community and the region, particularly in areas that are currently underserved. Utilize the strategic plan as guiding doctrine for key decisions across the agency; frequently review the strategic plan and status with staff and board of directors to ensure consistent goals and alignment of organizational direction. Foster a positive and collaborative culture that encourages innovation, inclusivity, independence, and growth with direct reports and all levels of the organization. Effectively manage staff and make sound personnel and people policy decisions that enable a strong, functional, and cohesive office environment. Role Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with progressive leadership or managerial duties required. Minimum of 5 years of successful supervisory and budget administration experience required. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant domain required; Master’s degree or higher preferred- demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education. Prior experience leading multiple, cross-functional verticals or programs within an organization required. Fundamental knowledge and experience with finance, financial statements, and financial controls required. Prior nonprofit or public service leadership experience required. Demonstrated ability to implement existing strategic plans as well as develop future strategic plans required. Prior experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders including community, Board of Directors, internal teams, and donor bases required. Prior experience securing major gifts and/or diverse corporate partnerships highly preferred. The salary range for this role is $135,000-$150,000, depending on alignment of job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
