AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Part-time Food Service Worker at one St Martin De Porres High School in Cleveland, OH. Starting pay is 13.50/hr. This position offers a great work/life balance. This is a day shift position working Monday - Friday with an occasional weekend. Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage * Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils * Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas * Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests * Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures * Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties * Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dish machine or by hand * Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition * Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas * May be responsible for receiving product from vendors, organize stock * Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas * Clean and rotate the walk-in coolerRequirements: * Previous food service experience preferred * Strong work ethic * Ability to communicate with other team members and other departments with professionalism and respect * Maintain a professional relationship with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives * Knowledge of, or ability to learn, standard cleaning methods and equipment used in dishwashing work * Ability to exert continuous physical effort including frequent bending, walking and liftingBenefits: AVI is proud of its team members and appreciates the hard work, loyalty and committed service they provide every day, which is why we offer the following: * A family culture and atmosphere * Competitive compensation * Health, dental, vision, and life insurance for full-time team members * 401(k) with generous company match * Paid vacations and holidays * Immense training and growth opportunitiesWe conduct pre-employment drug testing.
