Kids 'R' Kids of Lawler Farm is currently hiring for a full- or part-time Assistant Teacher to help supervise, care for, and teach school-age children in the Prosper, Texas area. This assistant teaching position earns a competitive wage of up to $17.60/hour, depending on experience. DAY-TO-DAY This childcare and assistant teaching position is full- or part-time with opener, mid-shift, and closing shifts between 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM . As an Assistant Teacher, you help our lead teachers to make a difference in the day-to-day life of children. You are vital in keeping the ideal child-staff ratio so that each child receives the correct level of care. Alongside other teachers, you greet each kid and their parents as they arrive. You help to maintain an open line of communication with parents, so you work with other teachers to keep a daily report for each child. When the children arrive, you check their belongings to ensure they are labeled with their first and last names. You assist in taking attendance daily. If parents have any questions about medications for their child, you send them to the front desk to put them on file. You refer to the daily classroom schedule as a guideline for the curriculum, meals, snacks, and outside playtime. Additionally, you help request supplies needed for the class, keep decorations in the classroom up to date, and display children's work at their eye level. You help to keep all areas of the classroom clean and sanitized. When necessary, you follow our discipline policy, reporting and documenting any unusual staff behavior to management.
