Location: Churubusco: Churubusco, IN,United States (US)Employment Status: Salary Full:TimeFunction: EngineeringPay Range: (71,734.00: 133,220.00)Target Bonus: 8.0Req ID:24316 Basic Functions: Utilize engineering principles to design and develop innovative automated solutions to meet customer specifications utilizing a variety of tools including, 3D CAD, Solid Modelling, FEA Principle Responsibilities: : Develop clean sheet automation designs using Autodesk Inventor: Develop electro:mechanical solutions from concept through build and installation: Analyze and evaluate designs for robustness and cost effectiveness: Communicate with customers, vendors and fellow employees to successfully complete projects: Use engineering concepts and principles in conjunction with company and commercial standards to provide technical solutions for new and/or modified automated systems: Read and interpret prints, technical drawings, schematics, etc. : Establish test plans to validate new or modified designs, and prepare and evaluate technical reports upon completion of tests, resolve systems malfunctions: Research and analyze customer design proposal, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications: Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods, develop, coordinate and monitor all aspect of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of design: Host design reviews internal and external with customers, management, engineering, and shop employees: Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application: Design automation systems utilizing instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems: Design products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software: May be required to instruct and or supervise mechanical technicians during the project build cycle, project installation and/or service of equipment after shipment/delivery as required to resolve issues or efficiencies Minimum Qualifications: : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar Engineering degree: 3+ years in designing custom automation, or commensurate experience: Complete PC capabilities using MS office programs and others as required, and ability to develop computer programs or spreadsheets for specific analyses.: Expertise in creating components, mechanisms, and systems utilizing 3D CAD Drafting and Solid Modeling, Autodesk Inventor preferred: Ability to develop clean sheet conceptual layout of product design: Analysis of product performance factors: ISO 9001 experience helpful, but not required: Project Management experience is a plus Required Skills: : Practiced knowledge of various manufacturing technologies: Knowledge of specifications and requirements:
