Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Controller at Gasser Chair plays a critical role in managing and overseeing financial operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and the efficient functioning of the accounting department. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, implementing financial controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's overall goals and objectives. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES : Specific responsibilities of this position will include, but will not be limited to: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Manage cash flow by monitoring daily transactions and forecasting cash needs. Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Oversee tax planning and compliance activities. Work closely with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies. Evaluate and enhance financial systems to streamline processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals. Communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or similar financial leadership role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices. Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. In-depth knowledge of ERP systems is highly preferred. Demonstrates high emotional intelligence, able to understand and manage emotions effectively, and build strong relationships across diverse teams. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and presentation of financial information. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The Controller at Gasser Chair is expected to perform job duties that involve the ability to speak fluent English, sitting for extended periods, working at a computer workstation. Occasional travel may be necessary to attend industry events, visit customers or suppliers, and engage in business development activities. This may involve extended periods of sitting during flights or ground transportation. Proficient manual dexterity is essential for tasks such as typing, handling documents, and operating electronic devices.
