We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThis role determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.Key Responsibilities Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports. Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly. Performs accounting for price variances and overhead recovery on a regular basis. Updates standard costs on a regular basis; sets up standard costs for new products. Responsible for closing activities. Perform account reconciliations and approved journal entries. Preparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts. Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience0-5--years related experience and/or training for the staff level5+ years related experience and/or training for the senior levelOther InformationCPA, CMA, MBA preferred. This is a senior-level position to the Cost Accounting job family requiring a comprehensive understanding of Accounting fundamentals and principles. Work is varied and complex. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
