JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: Responsible for creating warm and inviting service experience by receiving payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards from customers and/or employees in exchange for goods or services. Essential Functions Primary accountability is to ensure the guest experience is optimal. Greets guest in a courteous and professional manner, utilizing company standardized greeting and by name when possible. Counts currency and give accurate change back to customers. Demonstrates accuracy, integrity and excellent customer service at all times. Operates cash register, computerized system with full knowledge of proper procedures. Receives payment from guest and/or employees; makes change as needed; issues receipts. Verifies customer ID when accepting credit cards. Verifies all bills larger than $10.00 to ensure they are not counterfeit. Reconciles cash register tape with cash and receipts on hand at end of shift. Must have full knowledge of products sold. Takes and reads guest's vegetable order. Keeps order together as it progresses through the line. Maintains consistent portion control. Full knowledge of all relevant health code regulations. Demonstrates ability to utilize company abbreviations and lingo pertaining to guest orders. Maintains line presentation and cleanliness of counters. Possess full knowledge of Guest SOP and demonstrates execution of procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Age 16 Proficiency with figures Excellent communication skills Friendly, welcoming; Customer Service centered. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma Bilingual - Spanish Knowledge of restaurant and community Competencies Communication: Ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written and visual communication skills as well as listen to gain understanding. Customer Service: Professionalism, Patience and People-first attitude. Always service with a smile! Teamwork: Ability to work with others toward a shared goal, participating actively, sharing responsibility and contributing to the team. Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changes in the work environment. Initiative: Ability to be resourceful, independently assess issues and initiate solutions. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has NO supervisory responsibilities, is supervised by Team Lead on duty and reports to the Store Manager Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person and up to 75 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while performing work duties. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in the performance of duties. Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally (one-handed) to unload boxes and operate equipment related to your job. Must be able to maintain balance and climb three to five feet on a ladder in order to retrieve supplies, store boxes, etc. as required to perform the functions of your job. Work Environment: This job operates in a full-service restaurant kitchen model environment. Role may also serve in outdoor, or event environment as required by project needs. Position Type: Position may be Full Time or Part Time Regular. Evening, Weekend and Holiday work is also required. Travel: No travel required.
