Position Title: Pick Crew Member Reports To: Pick and Pack Lead Job Status: Part-Time Direct Reports (#): NA Classification: Hourly In-Office/Remote : On-Site/In-Warehouse Required Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary: Pick Crew Members pick and pack weekly food orders. All work is performed one day per week (Tuesday) in our warehouse facility. Essential functions include reading orders, selecting products and packing the products into bags and boxes to be delivered to our customers. Requires the ability to follow directions, lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, use warehouse tools (e.g., hand trucks, etc.), pay attention to detail while working quickly, and communicate clearly. Knowledge of produce and food products is a plus. Essential Functions: Follow directions of the Pick and Pack Lead Read orders submitted by customers Place food and other products into appropriate/designated bags and bins to align with customer orders Move food, products, bags, bins and other items to different locations in the warehouse Load food, products, bins and bags into delivery trucks and vans Use a hand truck as needed to assist in moving items around the warehouse Work with others using clear communication Other duties as assigned. Required Skills, Education and Experience: Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently Ability to stand and/or walk for duration of shift Ability to twist, reach, bend down and squat Ability to understand and willingness to follow specific instructions Ability to read customer orders Ability to perform repetitive tasks with little direction Ability to use or learn to use hand trucks Work Environment: Indoor warehouse environment Exposure to varying temperatures indoors depending on the outside weather Work Hours: One day per week: Tuesdays Full shift: 8 to 11 hours from the late morning through the evening Half shift: 4 to 6 hours from the late afternoon through the evening Year-round position Starting pay $17/hr
