A Refurbishing Technician at Medline ReNewal is responsible for inspecting, marking, testing, and refurbishing invasive medical devices at the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. The Refurbishing Technician is responsible for bringing the medical device back to original or better than original condition. Essential Functions of the Job: Receive containers of devices from Identification department Distribute devices to appropriate work station based on type of refurbishment process required for device Use a variety of tools and devices to restore medical device to original or better condition using one or more of the following processes; Glass bead blasting, Hand sharpening using files/ blades/etc., Machine sharpening, Drilling of holes to dry devices, Using adhesives to secure pieces of the device, Insulating devices Mark the device as reprocessed for appropriate tracking of quantity of time same device has been reprocessed Use microscopes in the reprocessing process or after reprocessing to inspect condition of device Verify all reprocessed devices meet acceptable function standards through inspection process In each duty previously listed, technician must confirm devices are accurate according to orders and recording work done on the order record (PCR) Verify that devices being sent to next production area are an exact match to computer and paper records, sign off documents and computer records accurately and timely Assist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals Other duties as assigned Here's some highlights of what we have to offer: Set 40-hour Weekly Schedules with Consistent Work Hours Climate Controlled Environment Company Paid Scrubs (uniforms) 3 Choices of Medical Insurance Coverage Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flex Spending Programs 401k with Company Match Company Paid Life Insurance Company Paid Short and Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holidays) Onsite "Mini-Market" Monthly Employee Treats and Lunches Tuition Reimbursement Program Gym Membership Reimbursement Program Incredible Employee Discounts on Medical Products Required Qualifications: Must be able to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (Speak and basic reading ability required) Must be able to use a computer to locate information and print reports Stand or sit in place (or combination) for 8 hour shift with appropriate meal and rest breaks Use of machinery including; microscopes, glass bead blasters, and other machines Some work stations may experience continuous moderate to high level of noise Lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 30 lbs up to 50 times a day Perform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through entire shift Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Any prior experience in a manufacturing role is preferred DISCLAIMER All duties and requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
