Sr. System Cyber Analyst

A leading utility provider located in New York is looking for a Sr. System Cyber Analyst. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US for any employer. This is a Direct Hire role. Salary Range: $100K - $120K Core Responsibilities * The Sr. System Cyber Analyst is responsible for contributing, guiding, to the analysis of Cybersecurity incidents and events. * The Sr Cyber Analyst will design, install, monitor IT computing infrastructure, provide timely response and troubleshoot alerts generated by various security tools. * The Sr. System Cyber Analyst will help in protecting the company from all cyber threats and risks. * Prepare standards based documents for the installation of computing or communications components to support Con Edison's information and communications network infrastructure. * Prepare standards based, detailed bid specifications for the installation of computing and communications related network equipment to support Con Edison's information network infrastructure. * Lead technical evaluations of contractor proposals, software or hardware. * Lead project to deploy various cybersecurity tools. Once deployed, become the technical lead in supporting the tools. * Provide guidance and consulting on cybersecurity technology and solutions. * Support as a member, the cyber action team through forensics analysis of systems, malware, or network * Serve as project manager for small-scale vendor installation of computing and communication networks. * Monitor cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and provide support as necessary to incident response team. * Must be available 24/7, on call, and/or participate in off-hour emergency response activities as required. * Perform other related tasks and assignments as required. Required Education/Experience * Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of IT * experience preferably in * Cybersecurity or * Master's Degree with two (2) years of IT * experience preferably in * Cybersecurity Preferred Education/Experience * Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, * Information Technology, * or relevant concentration * Master's Degree Computer Science, * Information Technology, or relevant concentration Relevant Work Experience * Previous Cybersecurity or Information technology experience. Required * Solid understanding of industry standard policies, processes and procedures covering incident, problem and change management. Required * Strong knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and network architecture. Required * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and productivity tools. Required * Ability to present at different levels of management. Required * Knowledge of vulnerability, threat and risk management and assessment. Preferred * Scripting knowledge using industry standard scripting tools Preferred Skills & Ability * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc. * Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills * Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments * Highly thorough and dependable Licenses & Certifications * Driver's License Required * Other: Technical certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CIPP etc.) Preferred Other Physical Demands * Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
