CNC Machinist Key Account Specialist Location : Houstin, TX Job Summary Kennametal is seeking talented machinists looking to transition their career off the floor day to day into a professional sales role. If you are currently working as a machinist or have previous hands on machining and cnc programming experience, we would be very interested in speaking to you Come join an industry leading manufacturer drive metal:cutting tooling sales growth with established customer accounts. Find success by effectively managing customer relationships, providing technical expertise, and increasing productivity and savings for some of our top customers all while solving interestin gproblems on a daily basis. This role provides an opportunity to work on unique challenges related to cnc machining, milling, and lathe applications.The role will also work closely with our distribution partners. The position will be based from a home office within the assigned territory, but 80 or more of the week is spent out in the field at customer locations. The territory is all within commuting distance, overnight travel not regularly required. Company vehicle provided as part of top of market compensation package which includes a base salary plus bonus based on performance, and benefits starting day 1. Key Job Responsibilities :Manage 1:10 established customer relationships.:Maintain existing business and grow share of wallet with assigned customer accounts within assigned geography.:Takes hand:off from Sales Engineer (hunter) when account reaches certain level of sales volume.:Utilize CRM to track activities:Determine key goals required to succeed and resource requirements/risks:Strengthen E:Commerce applications:Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge on a particular end:market and stay up:to:date on latest industry trends to continually improve customer productivity.:Provide technical expertise on products (e.g., product lifecycle obsolescence), customer programs (e.g., product upgrades) and customer cost savings initiatives.:Maintains rigorous cutting tool market knowledge ofcompetitor's offerings, and market gaps.:Support Sales Engineers by providing technical expertise when closing new customers.:Coordinate with Inside Sales rep(s) and Sales Support to grow sales within assigned accounts plus troubleshoot customer gaps as needed. Requirements :Degree in Business and or Manufacturing and or Engineering preferred, or equivalent working experience:2:5 years of related experience preferred.:Bilingual Spanish preferred:CMP Program certificate preferred.
