Requisition No:827678 Agency: Florida Gaming Control Commission Working Title: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT I : Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: Salary: 50, : 55, annually Posting Closing Date: 05/03/2024 Total Compensation EstimatorTool FLORIDA GAMING CONTROL COMMISSION Division of Administration Class Title: Government Operations Consultant I Hiring Salary: 50, : 55, annually Position Number: Overview: The Florida Gaming Control Commission ("FGCC") is a five:member commission appointed by the Governor. The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari:mutuel and gaming statutes and rules. Position Responsibilities: The FGCC's Division of Administration, is searching for a dynamic Government Operations Consultant I to serve as a liaison for the Director of Gaming Enforcement and the Chief of Law Enforcement Services. This position: : Assesses and plans storage facility needs for property confiscated by the Division and communicates the need to the Director of Administration;: Schedules newly sworn law enforcement agents for drug testing and approves the payment of invoices from the drug testing vendor;: Reviews and interprets accounting reports;: Coordinates with the Director of Administration on Division administrative actions;: Prepares all purchase requisitions to be submitted to the FGCC Office of Procurement and Contracts;: Manages the Division's services contracts. Ensures vendor performance is acceptable, approves contracts and invoices, and forwards payment requests to the FGCC Office of Procurement and Contracts;: Prepares purchase requisitions for personnel training;: Receives deliveries from the FGCC Property Administrator, checks in all deliveries, and matches them to the proper purchase order or P:card to ensure the order was completely received and in good condition;: Notifies FGCC Office of Procurement and Contracts concerning discrepancies in orders;: Discusses, collaborates, and plans with the Information and Technology unit regarding current and future information technology needs;: Tracks and monitors special requests and other projects to ensure proper and timely completion;: Works with the FGCC Administration Fleet Coordinator to ensure vehicle logs are submitted timely and repairs and maintenance are scheduled and completed;: Monitors the Division's budget;: Develops spending strategies to maximize the effective utilization of all appropriations;: Provides regional budget updates and periodic status reports to management;: Monitors overtime expenditures, prepares and submits reimbursement requests for overtime as allowed by Task Force Agreements and agreements with other agencies;: Conducts or assists in the annual property inventory for the Division as requested by the FGCC Property Asset Coordinator;: Collects all property from Division personnel upon separation and coordinates with the Director of Administration on distribution;: Prepares and distributes Property Control Forms when changing property locations;: Maintains a filing system for various reports and projects;: Maintains a current list of phone numbers for Division personnel and partners;: Assists walk:in visitors/employees for the Division;: During any critical incident or disaster (both natural and man:made), your position may be designated as an essential service position for a given period, and you may be required to work after normal business hours, during office closures, or on weekends and/or holidays when needed;: Liaisons with Division of Emergency Management;: Manages and maintains Gaming Enforcement's SLERS radios; and: Performs and other duties assigned by the Director of Law Enforcement.
