The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives. Under the direction of Agency Secretary Jason C. Weida, the Agency is focused on advancing Governor DeSantis' vision for Florida's health care system to be the most cost:effective, transparent, and high:quality health care system in the nation. Current Agency initiatives include implementing Florida's groundbreaking Canadian Prescription Drug Importation Program, overhauling Florida's healthcare technological ecosystem, and increasing insight in the cost of health care services. Position Overview: This position will be hired at the minimum annual salary of 45, (1,742.64 biweekly) and is non:negotiable. This position is responsible for complex administrative and health care regulatory work within the Bureau of Health Facility Regulation, Laboratory and In:Home Services Unit. The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent organizational skills, be productive under tight time frames, be able to balance multiple and competing priorities, and maintain goal:directed behavior. Must be able to meet expectations in a high:volume environment, and interact courteously and professionally with others, both internally and externally. Applicant must have experience working independently and as part of a team in researching, gathering, comparing, and analyzing information relating to assignments and projects. Those not able to work effectively in a deadline:oriented atmosphere should not apply. The working hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Good attendance is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time sensitive. The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time. Leave must be requested in advance except in emergency circumstances not under the control of the employee. Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will function as a member of a cooperative team that is responsible for the licensure and/or certification duties relating to clinical laboratories, drug free workplace laboratories, end stage renal disease (ESRD) providers, organ procurement organizations, tissue banks, eye banks, home health agencies and nurse registries. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical and consultative services for all matters pertaining to licensure and/or certification and regulation of assigned programs. Specific responsibilities and duties are as follows: Reviews and processes all applications and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with state licensure and/or federal certification requirements. Monitors progress of applications and takes appropriate actions to approve, withdraw or deny applications within established regulatory time frames. Reviews survey information for compliance with state licensure and/or federal certification requirements and initiates appropriate action as necessary. Commun
