Shop Floor Quality Engineer: BWX Technologies, Inc. :Barberton, OH *This is a 3rd shift position* RESPONSIBILITIES: : Daily support for production manufacturing processes, provide assistance toward the resolution of quality issues, and support toward shop compliance. :Monitor / audit / report / trend shop compliance to processes and procedures toward quality, compliance or process improvement. :Participate in internal audits to assure compliance to customer and internal requirements. :Shop floor surveillance to asses compliance to internal procedures and customer requirements. :Leadership of process improvement activities. :Develop, maintain, and own of quality system procedures, and work instructions. :Management of CAPA (corrective action) resolution for component processes. :Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications. QUALIFICATIONS: : Minimum Associates Degree, Bacelors degree preferred in engineering or technical field is. 3+ years quality assurance, engineering or manufacturing experience.:Solid math/statistical skills and knowledgeable in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and print reading. :Experience with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly preferred but not required. :Experience or knowledge of inspection techniques including dimensional inspection, NDE methods such as ultrasound, magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection and/or radiography preferred but not required. :Must be able to obtain and maintain and DOE security clearance.
