Job Summary: Hoskinson Contracting is located in Gillette, WY and is a subsidiary of Hoskinson Biotechnology and partners with Hoskinson Health & Wellness. Hoskinson Contracting was established in May 2023. Our main purpose is to continue to build Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic into a large medical facility to provide one of a kind specialty healthcare to the community. Along with internal construction projects, Hoskinson Contracting has a vision to be a one stop shop for any contracting need. We have high quality resources to provide any type of service to our customers including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Master Carpentry, Concrete work, etc. Hoskinson Contracting is rapidly growing and with our resources and vision we will one day become a premier contracting firm in Wyoming and surrounding areas.An experienced construction carpenter plays a critical role in the successful completion of building projects, contributing expertise and craftsmanship to create durable and well-constructed structures. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Installation and Finishing: Install and finish woodwork components, including doors, windows, cabinets, molding, and other decorative elements. Ensure precise measurements and accurate installations to meet design specifications. Install both wood and steel framing Material Selection: Select appropriate materials for each project based on design requirements, budget constraints, and structural considerations. Work with various types of wood, laminates, veneers, and other materials. Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, and design plans to understand the layout and requirements of each project. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work with overall project goals. Customization: Customize woodwork components to meet specific design preferences and client needs. Craft unique and intricate designs for specialized projects. Repair and Maintenance: Identify and repair damaged or worn woodwork in existing structures. Perform routine maintenance to ensure the longevity of finished carpentry elements. Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and client expectations. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure work environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and tools for each task. Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other team members. Provide progress updates and collaborate with other trades to ensure project timelines are met. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and finishing methods. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various physical positions for extended periods. Ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry is preferred. Proven experience as a finished carpenter in construction or related field. Portfolio showcasing completed projects is an advantage.
