Position Information Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Payroll Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing payroll operations district-wide and performs expert level strategic leadership in planning, preparing and disbursing payroll for Metro Parks employees. The incumbent supervises a team of payroll staff in delivering payroll accurately and effectively and recommends and implements payroll policies and procedures to meet the district's responsibilities with respect to labor agreements, labor laws, payroll tax administration and system updates. The incumbent works closely and collaboratively with all district staff, divisions and external stakeholders in carrying out the section's duties.In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Observe applicable safety requirements, use safety equipment provided, implement appropriate safety practices and report immediately any unsafe working conditions or hazards.
