Come create your career with Volt!Volt Workforce Solutions has an immediate opening for a Refrigeration Technician in Grand Junction, CO.As a Refrigeration technician you will: * Maintain and perform preventative maintenance activities on ammonia refrigeration systems * Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records * Observe and test system operation, using gauges, and instruments * Dismantle, assemble, and install refrigeration equipment * Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production * Ensure all repairs are documented and completed clearly, legibly, and accurately with required information. * Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to supervisor * Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime * Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques * Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes * Exhibit the ability to anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performance * Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThis is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire Opportunity The ideal candidate will have: * High school diploma or GED preferred * Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems * Advanced PLC, VFD and Controls expertise * Perform all plant specific mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs * Freon refrigeration, where applicable, license or equivalent experience * Able to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time * Able to use a variety of maintenance tools * Able to perform maintenance activities/repairs independently and assist on more complicated repairs * Able to present options and ideas to current processes or procedures * Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision * Able to work effectively in a team environment * Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing * Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals * Basic computer skills * Must be able to work in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise volume * May experience some exposure to fumes airborne particles, chemicals or allergens * Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidaySchedule: Monday to Friday 7AM-4PMPay Range: $32.00- $35.00*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
