It is the foundation of The Memorial Experience.Summary:Directs the Rehab department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the Memorial Healthcare System.Responsibilities:Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, regulatory and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.Competencies:Education and Certification Requirements:Accredited Program (Required)BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS), Occupational Therapy License (OT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL), Physical Therapist License (PT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL), Speech-Language Pathology License (SA LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)Additional Job Information:Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
