HOURS - 30 hours per week Rotating Days and Evening shifts Thursday to Sunday with possibility to pick up an additional shift based on staffing needs Who We Are The work of Good Shepherd is based on a fundamental belief in providing hope and restoring dignity to the most vulnerable members of our community. Our services include emergency food transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs. We are committed to integrating Harm Reduction practices into our programs and to prioritizing the rights, dignity, and choices of those who use substances. By integrating a Harm Reduction framework at Good Shepherd, we can decrease barriers to service and better support some of our community's most marginalized members. This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - HOMES - Emmaus Place How You Will Make an Impact The HOMES program provides supportive housing to persons who have been homeless and are living with a mental illness. Team members support tenants to reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community. In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of tenants living at Emmaus Place. Services to tenants include backssment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, and supportive counseling. What You'll Bring to Our Team A post-secondary education in social or health services A minimum of three years' experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required Adhere to working and operating within an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework Must have a valid drivers license What We Offer Be a part of a caring TEAM.
