About Us Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union (BCEFCU), a $500K financial institution insured by the National Credit Union Administration, is seeking a Part-time Internal Auditor. Founded in 1963 by a group of Baltimore County Government employees and expanded over time to include other groups, BCEFCU is committed to helping its 29,000 members achieve better financial security. Position Summary The Internal Auditor provides independent and objective oversight by performing internal audits of operations, financial records, and control systems of the Credit Union. Responsibilities include: Developing and managing a risk-based audit plan Preparing and presenting internal audit reports to the Supervisory Committee and recommending improvements Supporting management by providing analysis, recommendations, counsel and information regarding the Credit Unions risk management and control processes Coordinating with the Credit Unions Compliance Officer and external auditing firm Required Qualifications A four-year college degree 3 years experience in financial institution internal audit and/or public accounting (or equivalent) Ability to maintain audit independence and objectivity Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Proven organizational and project management skills Proficient use of computers & Windows-based software Credit check and criminal background check are required Desired Qualifications Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Work Schedule & Location This is a part-time, contractual position with flexible hours, approximately 12 to 16 hours per week. This position requires an in-person work schedule initially, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule in the future. In-office hours will be scheduled between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday Friday. In-office hours are worked in our main office at 23 W. Susquehanna Avenue Towson, Maryland 21204.
