Description:
Responsible for the administration and direction of Crown Heights Residence, its facilities, personnel, and programs. Ensures adherence to codes, regulations and policies governing the physical plant, as well as funded programs. The Director hires and supervises staff and ensures personnel policies are published and understood. Oversee all case records and make sure assessments, intakes, treatment plans and emergency medical profiles as necessary are completed in a timely manner. Oversees emergencies, disputes, and works with Tenant Association. Act as a liaison between management, the community, and the tenants. Coordinate and monitor service delivery arrangements. Assist with workshops and on-going projects. Provide tenant counseling, advocate for tenant entitlement benefits. Provide tenants with monthly recreation calendar.Responsible for Tenant Leases, SRO Section 8 Applications and Tenant?s Annual Re-certifications. Responsible for reporting Incidents to Department of Homeless Services. Conduct Fire Drills, Suite, and Room Inspections. Responsible for ordering furniture, appliances, and office supplies. Qualifications: Masters in public administration, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years public program management, with 3 years in public housing administration. Background in counseling, with substance abuse credential, such as CASAC, preferred. Excellent communication skills. Familiarity with public housing law a plus.
