Technical Operator (Water Industry) Hours: 40 Hours per week, plus standby duty Location: Hampton Loade Bridgenorth Saray: £31,600 per annum About Us: At South Staffs Water, we deliver clean and reliable water supplies to around 1.7 million customers within the South Staffs and Cambridge regions. As a water only Company, providing clean, healthy water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is at the very heart of what we do and that's where you come in. The role: As part of the role, you will work closely with a range of internal and external contacts on a daily basis. You will be responsible for maintaining the control and operation of strategic source water sites and will be required to manage your time effectively to complete a demanding schedule of plant maintenance activities. • Conduct basic electrical tasks. • Knowledge and application of technical skills to operate, maintain, improve, and repair equipment. • Maintain control and oversee the operation of strategic source water sites. • Effectively manage your time to complete a demanding schedule of plant maintenance activities. • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of site design and operation. • Utilise appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the entire team. • Ensure that all aspects of quality within the area of responsibility adhere to local quality procedures. • Attend to site and equipment breakdowns to safely restore plant supply. What you'll need • HNC level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or alternatively equivalent relevant experience is desirable but not essential. • An electrical background in the utilities or similar industry is essential to the role; a Water industry background is desirable. • Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Full driving licence • Health and safety are a priority for all members of the production team.
