Maintenance Worker Pay Grade: 916 Location: Possum Kingdom Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Safety Sensitive Position WC - 9102 ⬢ ⬢ ⬢ Brief Description The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain grounds and facilities as part of a team for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished by monitoring facilities for cleanliness; providing grounds maintenance; preserving quality road conditions; repairing and maintaining structures, buildings, and fences, and assisting with new construction projects on BRA property. Other responsibilities include landscaping; mowing; trimming trees; repairing and replacing pipes; providing general maintenance services as needed; serving as backup convenience station operator; and any other duties as assigned ⬢ ⬢ ⬢ Job Requirements Minimum one year experience or equivalent combination of education Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and Good Driving Record Preferred: Class B Driver's License ⬢ ⬢ ⬢ High School Diploma - Awarded for the completion of High School. ⬢ ⬢ ⬢ Key Competencies Demonstrating self-motivation; effective performance is driven from within rather than being conditional on pressure from external factors (e.g. boss, peers, subordinates, deadlines, crises, etc.). Acquiring and demonstrating knowledge of safety and health procedures as they relate to the human resources of the organization and the protection of property. Working with others to share expertise and achieve outcomes that benefit the organization; stepping in to fill necessary roles that others are unable or unwilling to do; demonstrating strong communication skills to others on the team through active listening, summarizing, facilitating and "bridge building"... Taking the initiative to consistently meet or exceed (external and internal) customer expectations and specifications... STARTING SALARY RANGE $18.75 to $23.91 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
