OverviewSUMMARY Global Management Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Pest Controller for Grounds Maintenance Contract at Denver Federal Center. ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. * Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation * Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests * Use baits and set traps to remove or kill pests * Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures * Design and carry out contract pest management plan * Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building * Record keeping, entry of records to be entered in to NOPRSQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Required (Minimum) Qualifications * Five (5) years' experience on a government contract * Five (5) years' experience as a commercial pest controllerKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics * Basic knowledge of pest control and government regulationsPreferred * N/APHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENTWork Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to work in hot or cold environment, either indoors or outside to perform dutiesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * No supervisory responsibilities.ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
