Stability Direct is seeking a Medical Technologist for a job in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Medical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Staff The Medical Technologist I will be responsible for performing and interpreting laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory. Operates analytical test instruments to ensure that test results are medically reliable and evaluates patients' samples to determine their suitability for examination and/or referral to a reference laboratory. REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be certified. Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW) OR Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist. Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW) OR Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist. Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW) OR Grandfathered Medical Technologist by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification as a Medical Technologist. Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW) Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
