Practice Area: ERISA/Executive Compensation Transactions & Compliance,ERISA - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking a Junior or Mid-level/Senior Executive Compensation and Benefits Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles location. The ideal candidate will have experience working with public and private employers, including start-up companies, on all aspects of the executive compensation and benefits practice. This includes but is not limited to mergers and acquisitions (including Section 280G analysis), financings, initial public offerings, executive terminations and hires, stock compensation plans and award agreements, nonqualified deferred compensation (Section 409A), general ERISA and group benefit plans, and public company reporting and disclosure obligations. Job Overview:Work on all aspects of executive compensation and benefits practiceEmphasis on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and public company reportingOpportunity to mentor junior associatesDirect interaction with firm clients on complex transactionsConduct research, prepare legal documents, and contribute to writing Duties:Conduct legal research and assist in the preparation of legal documentsInteract directly with firm clients on sophisticated transactionsMentor and share experience with junior associatesParticipate in all aspects of executive compensation and benefits practice Requirements:Bachelor's degree and JD, or foreign equivalent.
