Job Location: 260 N. Elm Street, Westfield, MA 01085 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in hardware and firmware development projects that will drive the future of Mestek's digital control platforms, including microcontrollers, Analog and Digital I/O, asynchronous and synchronous serial communications, touchscreen displays, and power supplies. Contribute to all aspects of product development from concept through production. Develop electronic circuits to perform functions per requirements. Generate electrical documentation (schematics, BOMs, test plans). Design circuit boards for verification of design and software development. Develop and implement software for embedded HVAC control systems. Design detailed test plans to ensure hardware and firmware are functioning properly. Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and firmware design engineers. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and react to changing priorities. Maintain knowledge of computer engineering trends and new technology. Position Requirements: At least a Bachelor's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field. In addition to degree, must have any amount of post-baccalaureate, professional experience in each of the following: schematic capture and PCB Design; hardware integrating, testing, and debugging; proficient in soldering small SMD components using a microscope; developing embedded software in C; proficient with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and function generators; and developing software for embedded operating systems.
