People define Conair and we currently have an opening for a full-time temporary Junior Paint Shop Technician. Reporting to the Paint Shop Lead Hand, as a Junior Paint Shop Technician at Conair, operating under supervision, you are responsible for all aspects of the paint process including paint prepping and finishing. You will be required to perform any or all functions from preparation of the aircraft for painting processes up to and including the final painting and inspection of aircraft surfaces, aircraft parts, components, and manufactured products. In this role your duties will include the following: Prepare and remove paint on aircraft surfaces, parts, components, and assemblies; Clean and chemically process aircraft parts, components, assemblies, and manufactured products; Maintain tools and equipment used; Complete tasks safely using appropriate protective equipment and ensure all measures are taken for a safe work environment; General shop duties as required; Perform all duties in accordance with Conair’s Policies and Procedures and applicable regulations; Complete assigned tasks and related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner; Maintain currency as applicable to Conair Memos, Maintenance Bulletins, and notices; Gain and maintain knowledge of CARs as related to aircraft maintenance; Perform other related duties as required. We are looking for someone with : Knowledge of WHMIS requirements, hazards and safety practices relating to paint crew activities; Knowledge of all safety rules governing the work performed; Must have an intrinsic desire to continuously improve safety; Must maintain the requirements for a safe fit test of.
