Summary: As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be involved in the planning and coordination of the manufacturing and delivery of leading-edge satellite communications solutions for military, government, and high-end commercial applications within all of our Business Groups, including all aspects related to resource management, raw material ordering, forecast planning, and inventory control. What You’ll Do: Optimize inventory level by using a combination of historical trending tools and future forecasting; Manage supply chain to ensure the most cost-effective means of shipping goods while balancing tight schedules; Manage inventory transactions to ensure an accurate accounting of inventory (cycle, quarter and year-end counts); Create manufacturing orders (MO) to initiate internal product modifications to satisfy special orders in the microwave (MW) business; Identify continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to the development of improved business processes, including time and cost reduction measures; Maintain a safe working environment in the warehouse area; and Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring: Formal training in Production Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics Management an asset; 3-4 years of experience working in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management for a multi-million dollar corporation; Experienced in the handling creating and preparation of shipping documents for international/domestic shipping; Knowledgeable of secure tariff rulings with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency; Experience using an ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing environment, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
