Our family-owned tax and consulting service has been serving the community for over 10 years. Our team has grown and we have dedicated support to provide both personal and professional financial services. Job Duties: Enter and maintain financial transactions accurately and efficiently in our accounting software. Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections. Reconcile bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records. Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Collaborate with auditors to provide documentation and support for internal and external audits. Assist in budgeting and expense analysis to optimize financial performance. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Work closely with various departments to gather financial data and address inquiries. Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes. Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting rules and regulations. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external parties. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Prior experience as an assistant accountant or in a related role is a plus.
