Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Derby Salary: Dependent on Experience Benefits: Paid holidays incl Christmas shutdown, pension, private healthcare, global travel Working arrangement: On site with opportunity for hybrid Premier Engineering are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join established aerospace modifications service based in the Derby area. As the successful Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be working for one of Europe's most active aerospace design organisations on large projects under Part 21J. You will need at least 3 years' experience of Mechanical design within a highly regulated industry like aerospace or OEM, and a natural engineering instinct. Knowledge of EASA, UK CAA and FAA regulations would be ideal but not necessary. Responsibilities: : Researching, analysing, and creating engineering specifications using Auto CAD as well as: : Digital surfacing : Drawings creation : Reverse engineering : Component selection : Design modification : Curating technical reports for a range of active projects : Corroborating data : Managing aircraft modifications as well as interacting with the customer and attending board meetings : Support quality related issues, root cause analysis and corrective action administration to meet warranty expectations.
