Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Taunton A GBP 45K to A GBP 50k + Benefits + Relocation Package The successful candidate will take on a senior role in the design department and be involved in all design aspects of Special Purpose Machinery in a varied and technically challenging role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well: established company with a global reputation during a very busy period of growth. It is a high: profile position with the potential of promotion. The Role: Working closely with the senior management team, you will be required to: Provide effective design solutions based on the design brief. Work on a range of machines from the product portfolio, as well as fully bespoke projects. Project based work to include participation in technical reviews and conceptual design. Interface with engineering team members, departments and customers. Responsible for adhering to the machinery safety, Risk backssments and conformity to relevant standards. The Candidate: Will have proven experience at a senior level in mechanical design of Special Purpose Machinery and be familiar with mechanical rotating equipment comprising of drives and pneumatic/hydraulic actuated circuits. Will be an experienced designer familiar with a 3D CAD package (Autodesk Inventor preferred but notessential). Must be a mechanically qualified Engineer with strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
