Mechanical Design Engineer Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer? Are you currently on the lookout for a new and exciting challenge? Then please read on We are currently on the lookout for an experience Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a Sewage Treatment Plant in the Redditch area to join as soon as possible Within this role your main focus will be to work on Mechanical design development and civil interface details from the initial requirement through to completion on installation on site. Job: Mechanical Design Engineer Start Date: Immediate Contract: Freelance Location: Redditch Rate: GBP400 : 500 per day dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP Randstad Contact: Sophie Clemmence (Maidstone Branch) Duties of a Mechanical Design Engineer: All aspects of Mechanical designs for all Wastewater assets including Pumping Stations, CSOs and all associated civil structures Early stages of site investigations works coordination and procurement of materials Input into client design reviews as well as internal The ability for select sizing for site equipment including pipework, pumps , mixers etc Negotiating with suppliers as well as subcontractors whilst managing subcontractor programmes Reviewing as well as developing inspection Test Plans Working closely alongside the client coordinating all site activities A strong involvement with cost and budget planning alongside the contract delivery team TMA and NRSWA coordination Mechanical design duties P and ID development, Hazards in construction, development of mechanical and civil design drawings, HAZOP Requirements of a Mechanical Design Engineer: Degree/ HND Qualified in Mechanical Engineering Membership within a relevant professional Ability to challenge and deliver value engineering solutions Experience working with a main contractor within the Water Treatment Industry Self: management and be able to work well within a team To discuss this role further, or find out more details, Sophie.
