About the Service / Department We are the Wandsworth Age Activity Centre (AAC). This role will be responsible for assisting both us and the Hestia Recovery Café (RC) in the day to day running of learning and development activities, and related tasks; to oversee and lead on all aspects of the delivery of adult learning classes at the Centre and to provide support to in areas such as volunteer and pool worker recruitment and management, the management of resources, and administrative tasks. About the Role To work with the Team Leader (TL) of the AAC and Team Manager (TM) of the Recovery café to set up and deliver activity groups within a mental health recovery / wellbeing context across both services. To manage all aspects of Adult Learning sessions at the Centre, including responsibility for recruitment and management of Tutors, and ensuring that all course delivery requirements and associated evidence such as monitoring logs for reporting purposes is kept to high standards. To ensure that all learning and development activities are delivered within a safeguarding adults framework and that any safeguarding concerns are reported. To support the TL and TM in evaluating the effectiveness of learning and development activities. To work within a multi-agency framework, and alongside the TL of the AAC and TM of the RC, to ensure appropriate interventions and signposting, as well as building positive working relationships and practices within the statutory and public sector to engage members and customers. To ensure AAC members / Recovery Café customers have appropriate access to information about existing networks, including faith based groups and informal sources of support in the local community. To provide mental health resources to customers and members, supporting access to opportunities for recovery and rehabilitation and community capacity building.
