Job: Development Engineer Location: Oakham Term: Permanent Salary: GBP 37,500Hours of work: Monday : Friday 08:00 : 16:00 Premier Engineering has engaged with a global and hugely successful Design and Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the Plastic industry and high: profile clients. Due to team and project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Development Engineer to join on a permanent basis. This company is based in Oakham. Purpose of the role: To manage and assist in development and engineering projects at our client's site in Oakham site and to provide second line support to the Engineering team. Development Engineer Key Responsibilities: : Identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to improve machine and process effectiveness. : To assist in managing engineering projects from incepting through to completion, including: : Writing equipment specifications : Managing all appropriate resources : Implementing and monitoring : Compliance with budgetary limitations : Effective hand over to production : Get hands on with the machines. Development Engineer Key Skills / Experiences: : Time served Engineer : Electrical Bias : Good working knowledge of PLC and servo control systems (Mitsubishi would be preferrable) : Understand and be able to work with Pneumatics and Hydraulics : knowledge of working with Pumps and Conveyors would also be helpful. : Good computer skills, CAD systems : ideally Auto: Cad would be desirable. : Experience on installing and commissioning new pieces of equipment.
