An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities and Health and Safety Manager to join our client, a Freight Forwarding and Logistics company based in Esinteraction. The role of the Facilities and Health and Safety Manager is to assist the Head of HR with their day: to: day duties, overseeing all staff working in facilities, and ensuring the smooth running of the operations. You will be dealing with the day: to: day management of waste disposal, parking and maintenance, and ensuring all buildings are meeting the current Health and safety regulations. Key roles and responsibilities: Oversee the daily roles for the maintenance team. Conduct regular risk backssments and audits to identify and address potential hazards and areas for improvement. Ensure all staff receive relevant (up to date) training, information and instructions on matters relating to H and S. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation related to facilities management, health, and safety. Manage the maintenance schedules for all properties. Deal with all budgets, ensuring all purchasing is regularly reviewed. Develop and maintain relationships with both interdepartmental networks and external contractors and service providers to ensure that facilities are maintained to a high standard. Ensure the buildings handbook is kept up to date and all tenants, leases, suppliers and utilities. Investigate and report incidents and accidents and develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. Ensure all training is properly recorded on matrix files. The successful Facilities and Health and Safety Manager will have a minimum of 5+ years experience working in a Facilities Manager role. You will either need to be studying for or already have a NEBOSH general certificate to be considered for this role. Skills and qualifications required: Strong analytical and problem: solving skills.
