A Legal 500 Family Law Department is currently looking for a Solicitor to join their established team. You will be working directly with experienced and professionally recognised Partners to continue to grow and promote the Firm's offering for our clients. The Family Law team has a diverse and extensive client base. You will be working alongside Partners who have many years of experience and who will be available to assist and progress your career. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor who is looking for a real opportunity to develop their career in this area of law with a leading regional firm. Working from our dedicated Family Law office in Bury, Greater Manchester your role will be varied and challenging, but rewarding. The Family Law Team The department undertakes all aspects of family work, including divorce and separation, financial issues, arrangements for children, domestic abuse and protection from harassment, care and local authority cases and help and support with mediation. Our aim is to build long term relationships with our clients through trust and respect and unpinning those relationships with a sense of togetherness and a common goal. We work with our clients, not for them, working with them to make the right decisions. We work with each other with the same integrity, inspiring confidence in our clients, professional contacts and colleagues through our collaborative approach, working as a teams to progress matters quickly and efficiently. Who we are looking for Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with 5 years plus PQE in family law. The role would suit a person with a solid background and interest in family law, and the ability to maintain a varied case load covering different types of family law cases. You should ideally be able to deal with legal aid and public law / care matters as part of your work. The role will involve advocacy at an appropriate level, especially for directions.
