A fantastic opportunity has recently arisen at a legal practice in Bristol, for an ambitious Claims Asbestos Litigation Lawyer. The main purpose of the role will be to assist their expanding team focusing predominately on occupational diseases and claims related to asbestos. This position will involve dealing with asbestos prosecutions and claims, acting on behalf of the claimants. We are therefore looking for an individual who has extensive experience in asbestos: related cases and a true passion for representing clients in litigation matters. The typical duties for the Claimant Asbestos Litigation Lawyer role will include, but are not limited to: Working as part of a team to develop a case from inception to conclusion. Managing a caseload of litigation matters including occupational diseases, industrial disease (asbestos: related) and other litigation matters. Negotiating with Defendants to develop a positive outcome for clients without going to court. Working effectively with counsel and other external experts. Preparing all necessary documents for trials. Drafting subpoenas for production of documents and evidence. The successful candidate will need a detailed knowledge of the asbestos and occupational diseases including any relevant statute and case law. They will need to have the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure and be a confident communicator with strong people skills. The successful candidate will be: Qualified Lawyer with extensive litigation experience in asbestos: related cases (ideally with an emphasis on Occupational Diseases). Experience in executing written advice and taking instructions. Superseding Claimant knowledge. Experience of managing a caseload of asbestos and Occupational Diseases related litigation Claims. Knowledge of asbestos regulations and associated case law. Demonstrate strong industry experience and expertise. Have an ability to manage efficiently a caseload ensuring clients.
