Production Manager Melksham, near Bath Salary & Package £competitive Monday - Friday Days My Client, Coombe Castle is looking to recruit a Production Manager for their modern site in Melksham near Bath. They have over 4 decades experience of exporting great tasting British and Irish dairy products across the world. They have long lasting working relationships with large and small artisan cheese makers, representing the best in British and Irish cheese, this enables them to source a wide range of products to meet our customers' requirements. Their in-house manufacture of long-life cream further compliments their international offering. Purpose: The successful Production Manager will report into the Operations Manager and will be responsible for leading a small team of production operators to deliver top quality cream product consistently, within agreed timescales and to food safety & health and safety standards. You will also strive to continually improve the efficiency of systems and processes and play an important part in the ensuring great teamwork across all departments. Key Responsibilities: ·Delivery of weekly production plans for optimum productivity and achievement of agreed KPIs ·Manage the timely purchasing of all required raw materials for production ·Maintenance of highest hygiene, food safety and housekeeping standards ·Upkeep and maintenance of all equipment and machinery on site ·Creation of a strong performance and team working ethos Skills/Experience: ·Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills ·Proven management experience within a food manufacturing environment ideally dairy, though not essential ·Computer literate ·Practical problem solver, committed and can-do Benefits ·Pension 4 matched ·Life cover 2 times ·Holidays 25 days plus Bank Holidays This role is commutable from Bath, Chippenham, Warminster, Devizes, Trowbridge, Swindon and may suit a candidate that has previously worked as a Production Manager, Operations.
