Mississauga, ON L5K 1R8 Website: http: // Tel: 905-822-xyz X About us Terra Food Mart is a one-of-kind store, offering a vast selection of fresh, superior and quality food products from around the world. We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to work closely with the Management Team. The Purchasing Manager will source and negotiate with suppliers, manage execution of purchasing and sourcing work, and standardize purchasing procedures. Main duties• Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget• Lead purchasing department to plan and implement purchasing strategies and activities, and monitor the implementation• Guide purchasing staff to collect and analyze supplier service, quality and quotation, make summary report and record in system• Oversee the negotiation of contract items and terms with suppliers • Check the delivery time and quantity of purchase, and ensure the quality meets the standard• Maintain and improve procurement process and policies, and enhance purchasing efficiency• Review and deal with claims against suppliers • Recruit and train purchasing staff Qualifications• Post-secondary education is required• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in purchasing, sourcing and business management responsibilities• Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with strong database familiarity• Strong organizational/tasks management/problem solving skills• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment• Work availability: days, evenings, weekends• Ability to communicate in Chinese language is preferred.
