Location: Totton, Southampton Salary: £10.90 per hour Contract type: Part time Hours: 20-24 hours per week (rolling rota including days, evenings, opens, closes, and weekends)About the Role: As a Customer Advisor at Healthy Pet Store, and reporting to the store management team, you will be an integral part of the Customer Service team. In addition to serving customers, you'll represent Healthy Pet Store to local veterinary practices, trainers, and complementary businesses. This role requires a professional demeanor while demonstrating your passion for both retail and pets. With our specialisation in fresh feeding and animal enrichment, knowledge in these areas is desirable. One of our goals at Healthy Pet Store is to transform the way caregivers shop for their pets by offering a supermarket-style experience. You'll play a role in engaging customers on a journey from puppy or kitten stages to adulthood. Responsibilities: Provide expert advice and recommendations on pet foods, meal preparation, snacks, and food rewards Conduct expert harness fittings for comfortable animal handling Offer suggestions for supplements and herbal remedies Recommend training, play, and bed products Assist with in-store replenishment, picking and packing home deliveries, click and collect orders, and goods-in deliveries Achieve defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Maintain high store standards of neatness and hygiene, including dusting shelves, wiping shelf edge labels, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness Skills: Eagerness and ability to learn a significant amount of product knowledge and effectively share it with customers Ability to engage customers and influence their buying decisions, even on concepts that may challenge their current beliefs Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy products up to 16kg Ability to remain calm under pressure Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude Comfortable engaging with animals in a hands-off manner Experience: Demonstrated.
