Stack Teck Systems Ltd. is located 8 km north of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. SUMMARY: The position of Quality Control Inspector & Test Room Assistant, measures plastic injection molded parts for quality and deviations from outlined company specifications in addition to supporting, providing assistance and working needed with the Test Room Technicians. This position reports to the Test Room Manager. This shift is 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The start and end times are open to further discussion. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect and measure plastic molded components using basic Metrology equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier calipers, Dial indicators, and Micro height measuring tools. Set-up automated inspection equipment, such as Vision inspection or CMM, to perform measurements on complex plastic parts. Import data to tabulate results and highlight deviances to standards and process capabilities in Excel. Communicate results and provide feedback on inspections to management. Ensure inspection equipment is in proper working order. Read and review product specification documents. Work in the Test Room with the Test Technicians as required. Housekeep and cleaning of equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE Basic understanding of Coordinate Measuring methods, and knowledge of hand use measuring equipment.
