Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a Mechanical Design capability team recruit a full: time Mechanical Design Engineer, and this hybrid role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. The Mechanical Design Engineer will support the design and development of innovative technical solutions for applications within the aerospace, marine and defence sectors. You will work closely with Systems, Stress, Electronics, Performance and Simulation engineers within a multidisciplinary company to ensure the delivery of projects to the agreed technical requirements, time: scales and budget. If you were already in this Mechanical Design Engineer role, here are some areas you might have been working in this week: Technical leadership of design and development projects Providing robust conceptual and detailed designs to satisfy the project requirements Preparing design support documentation, conducting design calculations and maintaining concise engineering records Producing mechanical designs and drawings Checking and approving technical reports and drawings We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. You will also require the following: Proven technical leadership Solid Works and PDM Pro Knowledge of BS8888 and GD and T Familiarity with design and data configuration control Ability to work with minimum supervision.
