Further job details are as under: - Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver Location: 5711 264 Street, Langley BC, V4W 1K7Wages: $27.10/ Hour Vacancies: 2Employment groups: Indigenous People, Newcomers to Canada Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time 40 hours/ week Start date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: Shift, Flexible hours Job Requirements Languages- English Education- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience- Will train Transportation/Travel Information Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel overnight Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads Personal Suitability Organized Documentation Knowledge Trans-border documentation, Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Maintenance and repair reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Specific Skills Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Load and unload goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Perform brake adjustments, Pay and receive payments for goods, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance Transportation/Travel Experience Long-haul Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc. ) Driver's License (Class 1 or A) How to apply By email: xyz X@.
