If you are a Project engineer in the Racking industry, you'll know you are in a pivotal role in designing layouts at the important stages of a project from Quotation to end design. We need you! This is a role working for a global provider of storage solutions based in the Slough area. They are a big manufacturer, known across Europe as the most effective storage solutions company, hence the big-name contracts they supply here in the UK. The Role. These guys are seeking a talented and motivated Design Project Engineer to join the small team of Multi-talented people. The Design Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and engineering innovative storage solutions that meet the client's unique needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely across the company on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a significant impact on the customers' operations. Key Responsibilities: Understanding and evaluation of tender documents. Drawing of the layout at different quotation stages. Generation of materials lists based on layout drawings. Collection prices from suppliers for materials required. Preparation and completion of costing for installations, especially materials, suppliers, and labor. Generation of installation packs, especially drawings (datums etc. ), lists of (time-)phased materials, and installation guides. Checking of Purchase Orders. Checking of invoices. Managing and coordinating several projects concurrently. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering would be great, but a good background in the Storage solution industry, with an engineering qualification is just fine. Proficiency in Autocad is important. Previous experience in industrial or product design, ideally within the storage solutions or material handling industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
