Summary: AGAT Laboratories is currently hiring for Laboratory Technicians to join our Thunder Bay, Ontario team. This is a position with a permanent status. The Laboratory Technician B is the second level position into the laboratory. This position is given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and assists with administrative and basic laboratory activities. Schedule: 4 on, 4 off rotation Day Shift 8am-8pm Night Shift 8pm-8am Responsibilities Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions. Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal. Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments. Compile, verify and validate accurate data records. Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications. Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures. Report results. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Post-secondary education with a Technical Diploma/Science Degree or equivalent industry experience 2-3 years of experience Previous laboratory work experience Basic computer skills with experience with MS office and LIMS Good communication skills and fluency in English both verbal and written Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail Mature work ethic, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
