The County of Grande Prairie Community Libraries is seeking an energetic individual with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to help meet the needs of Hythe and area residents. As Hythe Library Assistant, you will assist with collection management, library organization, customer service, and library promotion. This position is part-time with approximately 10 hours per week, including Saturdays. On-call shifts at County Libraries in Elmworth, La Glace, and Valhalla may also be available. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma; post-secondary training is an asset Customer service experience, ideally in a library setting A strong connection to the community of Hythe and an enthusiasm for community engagement Knowledge of library principles and professional standards Effective verbal, written, presentation, and listening communication skills Excellent computer skills including email and internet search abilities We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
