Make a difference – join the Life Labs team today! Life Labs BC is seeking a Medical Microbiologist to join our Medical Scientific staff. The practice covers all of BC with most of the work concentrated in the Lower Mainland. Time will mostly be spent in our Surrey laboratory; occasional travel to Victoria may also be required. This is a Full Time Onsite role based in Surrey, BC. This role is available starting October, 2023. Core Responsibilities The provision of all aspects of a community Medical Microbiologist consultative practice to our Surrey, Victoria and Kamloops laboratories. The practice includes general oversight and direction of bacteriology, mycology, parasitology and molecular diagnostics from the pre-analytical to analytical to post-analytical stages. Lifelabs has the largest patient services centre (sample collection sites) and lab courier network in British Columbia and also controls Excelleris Technologies, the leading distributor of patient test results in BC.
