Position Overview Working under the direction of the Manager of Employee Safety and Injury Prevention, the Safety Certification Lead will be responsible for ensuring organizational readiness for undergoing safety certification audits as per the Manitoba Association for Safety in Healthcare (MASH), an industry-based safety association. This includes responsibility for ensuring all organizational policies are updated and compliant with the criteria established for the audit, as well as ongoing support to each service delivery organization as they prepare for the audits. This will include support to the Safety Coordinators, as well as establishing the processes necessary to sustain safety certification renewals. Experience Previous experience in the development and implementation of Health & Safety programs in accordance with the Workplace Safety & Health Act. Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of Occupational Health & Safety educational material. Experience developing policies, procedures, and guidelines related to health and safety. Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety auditing. Minimum 3 years in Workplace Health & Safety, preferably in a healthcare environment preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety. Registration as Canadian Registered Safety Professional. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
